Christmas Eve Children's Vigil Mass - Children's Liturgy:

All primary school aged children are invited to attend St Patrick's Christmas Vigil Children's Mass at 6:00pm on Christmas Eve.

Children will be seated on the floor at the front of the church, fully supervised by the Children's Liturgy teachers. At this Mass we will attempt to include as many children as possible in the ceremony.  So that we are able to allocate jobs for the night we would ask you to text 0414 864 237 to let us know that your child(ren) is/are attending this Mass.  Please indicate your child's age so that we know which jobs will be appropriate for them, eg reading, carrying candles, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: if your child is allocated a job on the night you will be informed by text message. Children who are allocated jobs on the night will be required to be at the church at 5:15pm for costumes and practice.  If you do not hear from us regarding jobs then please be at the church  by 5:45pm.

All children are encouraged to come dressed as shephers or angels. This will add to our Christmas clelebration.

The-manning-foundation Once again Christmas is almost here, and as always, it is a special time for families. This, therefore is your opportunity to help others in our parish who are in need. One way is by bringing food donations on the first, second and third Sunday in Advent and placing them under the statue of the Sacred Heart. Some examples of food items are weet-bix, long life milk, tinned fruit/vegetable/soup, spaghetti, jam, honey, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. Please check that the items you donate are in date. Due to health regulations please NO ITEMS CONTAIN NUTS OR TRACES OF NUTS. "The Lord is with you and greatly blessed you." (Luke 1:28)

A Prayer for Our Earth

All powerful God, you are present in the whole universe
and in the smallest of your creatures.
You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of your love, that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace, tha twe may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one
O God of the poor, help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth,
so precious in your eyes.
Bring healing to our lives, that we may protect the world and not prey on it,
that we may sow beauty, not pollution and destruction.
Touch the hearts of those who look only for gain
at the expense of the poor and the earth.
Teach us to discover the worth of each thing,
to be filled with awe and contemplation,
to recognise that we are profoundly united with every creature
as we journey towards your infinite light.
We thank you for being with us each day.
Encourage us, we pray, in our struggle for justice, love and peace.
[Pope Francis: Laudato Si - On Care for Our Common Home 160]
